NetPay UK Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using NetPay UK (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Bluka Labs ("we," "our," or "us") regarding your use of the App.

2. Description of Service

NetPay UK is a mobile application that provides:

  • Salary tracking and calculation tools for UK workers
  • UK tax calculation estimates (Income Tax and National Insurance)
  • Work log management and hour tracking
  • Earnings visualization and progress tracking
  • Salary calculator for estimating take-home pay

The App is designed to assist with salary calculations and is not a substitute for professional tax or financial advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use NetPay UK. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account
  • Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers connected to the App
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or related systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

6. Tax Calculations and Disclaimers

Important: NetPay UK provides tax calculations based on UK 2024-25 tax year rates and standard tax codes. These calculations are estimates only and should not be considered as:

  • Official tax advice
  • Guaranteed accurate tax calculations
  • Substitutes for professional tax or financial advice

Actual tax deductions may vary based on your specific circumstances, including but not limited to: pension contributions, student loan repayments, other income sources, and changes in tax legislation. You should always consult with a qualified tax professional or HMRC for official tax advice.

We are not responsible for any financial decisions made based on the App's calculations.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Bluka Labs and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of any data, information, or content you input into the App ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a license to:

  • Store, process, and display your User Content to provide the App's services
  • Use your User Content to improve and enhance the App
  • Back up and restore your User Content

You are solely responsible for your User Content and warrant that you have all necessary rights to provide such content.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the App, to understand our practices. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of calculations or information

We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
  • Damages resulting from any financial decisions made based on App calculations
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App, or £10, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bluka Labs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
